The Soxhlet extractor is a, instrument used in analytical chemistry which allows hot solvent extraction of a solid with high efficiency. This device has the name of its inventor: Franz Von Soxhlet.

The extractor can contain different volumes depending on the model, ranging from 60 to 1000ml.
